September: Sickle Cell Awareness Month - Empowering Lives Through Awareness

The Sickle Cell Association of Savannah remains a beacon of hope, dedicated to advancing healthcare, raising awareness, and offering support to those impacted by sickle cell anemia. The 2024 World Sickle Cell Day theme, “Hope Through Progress: Advancing Sickle Cell Care Globally,” resonates deeply during National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. As we celebrate progress, let’s unite—families, communities, medical providers, and legislative bodies—to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and drive meaningful change for the millions affected by this disease.
